AI Policy

Fizeek AI uses artificial intelligence to coach you, plan your week, and understand the photos you take of your meals. This page is the plain-English disclosure of what AI we use, what data we send to it, and how to opt out — including the disclosures Apple App Review Guideline 5.1.2(i) requires for apps that share personal data with third-party AI.

1. Features that use AI

You can use Fizeek AI without any AI features — turn them off in Settings → AI features.
2. AI providers we use
Our AI providers act as data processors under written contracts (Data Processing Agreements) with the following commitments:

We pick providers that contractually agree to:
- Process only on our instructions.
- Not train their models on our customers' data.
- Encrypt data in transit and at rest.
- Notify us of incidents.
- Subject themselves to audit.
This list will be kept current as our stack evolves. Material additions will be announced in-app and by email before they take effect.
3. Consent — required at sign-up
At sign-up you will see a clear, separate consent screen for "Personalise my coaching using AI providers". The screen explains the providers, what is sent, retention, and your right to refuse. You can:
- Accept — AI features are available.
- Refuse — AI features are disabled; the rest of the app works normally.
- Change your mind at any time in Settings → AI features.
If you turn off AI features, we stop sending your data to AI providers immediately. Existing data already returned to the app stays in your account until you delete it.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to anyone, including AI providers.
- We do not allow AI providers to use your data to train their public models.
- We do not use AI for decisions with legal or similarly significant effect on you (GDPR Art. 22).
- We do not use AI to generate medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic advice — see the Terms.
5. Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.2(i)
Apple requires apps that share personal data with third-party AI to disclose the sharing and obtain explicit permission. Fizeek AI complies by:
- Disclosing every AI processor on this page and in the in-app consent screen.
- Requiring a separate explicit opt-in before any data is sent to a third-party AI service.
- Letting you withdraw consent at any time without losing access to non-AI features.
6. Children
Fizeek AI is for users aged 16 and over. AI features are not directed at children.
7. Your rights
You have the same data-subject rights for AI-processed data as for any other personal data — access, deletion, restriction, portability, objection. See GDPR for details and how to exercise them.
8. Updates
We update this page whenever we add an AI provider, change retention, or change the data we send. The Effective date above will move and we will notify you before the change takes effect.
